Constitution & Bylaws
The foundational principles and governance structure of PCCUS.
Article 1 – Name
The name of the organization shall be: Pakistani Chamber of Commerce in USA (PCCUS)
Article 2 – Establishment
The Pakistani Chamber of Commerce in USA (PCCUS) was established in April 2026 as a professional and business-focused chamber dedicated to strengthening relations between the United States and Pakistan.
Article 3 – Purpose
To promote trade and commerce, encourage business development and investment, promote products and services from both countries, facilitate networking, partnerships, and joint ventures, support education, tourism, and professional exchange, and advocate for issues impacting bilateral business and trade.
Article 4 – Nature of Organization
PCCUS shall operate as a professional chamber of commerce / business association. It may be organized as a nonprofit business league / trade association or other lawful corporate structure under applicable U.S. law.
Article 5 – Membership
Membership is open to individuals and organizations including Business owners, Entrepreneurs, Corporations, Startups, Investors, Importers/exporters, Professionals, Educational institutions, and Tourism organizations.
Article 6 – Board of Directors
The affairs of PCCUS shall be governed by a Board of Directors including Chairperson, President, Senior Vice President, Vice President, Secretary General, Treasurer, and various Directors.
Article 7 – Officers
Officers include Chairperson, President, Vice President(s), Secretary General, and Treasurer. Duties are defined by policy and can be expanded as needed.
Article 8 – Meetings
PCCUS may hold Annual General Meetings, Quarterly Board Meetings, Special Meetings, Membership Meetings, and Networking forums (in-person, virtual, or hybrid).
Article 9 – Committees
The Board may establish committees for Membership, Trade & Investment, Events, Education & Tourism, Public Affairs, Sponsorship, and International Relations.
Article 10 – Finances
Revenue may come from membership dues, sponsorships, event registrations, donations, partnerships, grants, and program fees. All finances handled transparently.
Article 11 – Amendments
These bylaws may be amended by a vote of the Board of Directors or by process later adopted in formal governance procedures.
Article 12 – Dissolution
Upon dissolution, assets shall be distributed in accordance with the governing laws applicable to the legal structure under which PCCUS is organized.
